After-School Program Associate


The Program Associate works as a team with other program associates to plan and facilitate innovative activities and programs geared towards Club members, in the core areas of Character & Leadership, Education & Enrichment, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports & Recreation. Individual must be creative, energetic, open-minded, and a self-starter; must maintain a healthy mentor to mentee relationship with all members.


·         Must be at least 18 years of age.

·         Must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent.

·         Minimum of 1 year experience in youth development.

·         Knowledge of correct English usage, vocabulary, spelling, grammar and math; general classroom procedures and equipment use.

·         Organizes and assists with instructional activities related to classroom work.

·         Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems

·         Must be a team player and have the ability to multitask.

·         Ability to deal with the general public.

·         Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.

·         Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

·         Physically able to be actively involved in children’s recreational activities.

·         Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.

·         A Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.

·         Must be able to drive Club van.

·         Previous Boys and Girls Club experience is highly desirable.

·         Available evenings as necessary.

·         Current CPR and First Aid certification is a requirement of this job and a condition of employment.
